Jane is one of the most spectacular dinosaur finds in recent years. Here's what makes her so special
  • Uniqueness: Jane is unique. She is one of the best preserved and most complete juvenile T. rex specimens in the world.
  • Completeness: With about 50% of her skeleton preserved, Jane is far more complete than most dinosaur finds. The vast majority of dinosaurs are known from only a handful of bones. The completeness of Jane allows for a highly detailed analysis and also makes possible the exhibiting of a real dinosaur skeleton.
  • Quality of preservation: Jane's bones are exquisitely preserved. Fine details, such as tiny tooth serrations and holes that once carried nerves and blood vessels, are perfectly preserved.
